MC-1Chemical Formula: C6H9N9O3
Molecular Weight: 255.2
CAS NO.: 37640-57-6
MC-1 is a halogen-free flame retardant based on nitrogen, operating through a nitrogen-oxygen system. The mechanism of action of MC-1 is to form carbon upon high temperatures, exhibiting an endothermic and oxygen-diluting effect. When plastics are exposed to fire, MC-1 absorbs heat, decomposes, and releases inert gases that dilute oxygen and combustible gases, reducing exposure in flames and preventing burning drops.

Application: MC-1 is a halogen-free flame retardant used in polyamides, especially suitable for unfilled PA6, PA66, and epoxy resins. It offers a low-cost solution with excellent electrical properties, mechanical performance, and coloring capabilities as its main advantages. When combined with phosphates, MC-1 can be used in other materials such as PBT, PET, PC, unsaturated thermosetting resins, and epoxy resins.
MC-1 is packaged in 20kg bags and should be stored in a sealed container at room temperature in a dry environment.
